These are SARA's unofficial versions. The official version is always what appears in the text of the program element on the NSPIRES web page.

  • Appendix E.2, TWSC, closes on March 31, 2012. Propose to ROSES-12 instead.

Appendix E.2, Topical Workshops, Symposia, and Conferences, was released with rolling submissions (no fixed due date) but now that the 2012 version of this call is open and contains the identical opportunity, ROSES-11 Appendix E.2 will close on March 31, 2012.

  • Amendment 41: Removing TDEM science area from D.8 SAT

Amendment 41 Removes the opportunity to propose to the Technology Development for Exoplanet Missions (TDEM) science area from Appendix D.8, Strategic Astrophysics Technology. This notice does not apply to the Technology Development for Physics of the Cosmos Program (TPCOS) or Technology Development for the Cosmic Origins Program (TCOP) science areas of the program, for which proposals are still solicited. However, the funds available for new starts in those areas will be less than was previously anticipated to accommodate the changes outlined in the President's Fiscal Year 2013 budget request. Due dates for proposals remain unchanged.

  • Amendment 40: Cancelation of Appendix E.5 and E.6 March due dates

Amendment 40 cancels the second (March) due dates in ROSES-2011 for Appendixes E.5 and E.6: the Supplemental Education and Public Outreach Programs, respectively.

  • Appendix D.4, POC change for Astrophysics Theory Program.

The point of contact for Appendix D.4, The Astrophysics Theory program, has been changed to Linda Sparke

  • Amendment 39: A new solicitation in Appendix A.45 entitled Carbon Monitoring System (CMS): Continuing Prototype Product Development, Research, and Scoping.

This solicitation requests proposals for new Carbon Monitoring System (CMS) work intended to build upon the lessons learned in the pilot studies and scoping efforts and to further integrate NASA products and capabilities with those of other U.S. agencies and international entities. NASA seeks scientific and technical experts to shape and contribute to the next phase of development of a CMS – proposals offering both the development of specific next steps and the execution of the necessary tasks. Successful Principal Investigators will become members of the NASA CMS Science Team. At least half of the funding in each award must go to external organizations. Notices of Intent are not requested. Proposals are due April 20, 2012.

  • Amendment 38: Appendix A.6, the Biodiversity Program joint solicitation with NSF.

This Amendment announces that Appendix A.6, the Biodiversity Program, has been issued as a joint solicitation with NSF. Proposals are due April 10, 2012, to the National Science Foundation (NSF). • ROSES-11 Amendment 37: Proposal due date delayed for Appendix C.8 LASER.

This Amendment delays the proposal due date for Appendix C.8 Lunar Advanced Science and Exploration Research Program.

  • ROSES-11 Amendment 36: Final text and due dates for A.26 HyspIRI

This amendment provides the final text and proposal due date for Appendix A.26 HyspIRI Preparatory Airborne Activities and Associated Science and Applications Research. Notices of Intent to propose are due February 22, 2012, and proposals are due no later than March 21, 2012.

  • ROSES-11 Amendment 35: Revised text for Appendix D.8 SAT

This amendment presents revised text for Appendix D.8, the Strategic Astrophysics Technology Program and a new point of contact for Technology Development for the Cosmic Origins. The due date for Notices of Intent and proposals remain unchanged at January 27, 2012, and March 23, 2012, respectively.

  • Correction to Appendix B.4 the Solar and Heliospheric Physics (SHP)

The start date for projects in Appendix B.4 the Solar and Heliospheric Physics (SHP) program, was erroneously given as November 1, 2013. It should have been November 1, 2012.
